RemarksRemarks: Usually attributed to Skylletion in Bruttium on the basis of the Skylla on the reverse, this type has been found in excavations in Locri and in north-central Sicily and is often found overstruck on a Syracusan litra, such as with this coin. Traces of the undertype can be seen on the pileus on the obverse.
