Acarnanian league

From SILVER

The Acarnanian League was the tribal confederation, and later a fully-fledged federation (koinon), of the Acarnanians in Classical, Hellenistic, and early Roman-era Greece. The league was founded in the 5th century B.C., but continued even after Roman intervention in Greece in 146. It was finally dissolved and incorporated into the Roman province of Achaea after the Battle of Actium in 31 B.C.
